Bendiorm Beaches

Benidorm is known for its beautiful golden sand blue flag beaches, busy in the day with sun seakers. In the evening the promenades are teeming with people out for a walk or revelers enjoying the late night bars and clubs looking onto the beach

Playa Levante

Stretching at just over 2km the Levante beach is to the east of the old town and where most of the hotels predominately used by the British are located. If you want to be in the tick of it all then you want to be staying close to the levante beach. At the Rincon end of the beach it can be a bit of an effort to get into the sea due to quite a few rocks

Playa Poniente

The Poniente Beach is a beautiful long sandy beach, the longest of Benidorm’s beaches at over 3Km.

The whole promenade was redesigned and completed in 2009 allowing for leisurely strolls overlooking this wonderful beach, which although busy at peak season is more relaxed and less packed than the levante beach

Mal Pas Beach

This is a small little beach accessed from the old town situated between the Levante & Poniente beaches.

La Cala

Just outside Benidorm, La Cala de Finestrat is another small beach in a cove. A lovely place to go but now the area is so densely populated with residential apartments it’s hard to get within 20 meters of the sea in season. Although La Cala hotels are classed by tour operators/booking agents as Benidorm it is a 5/6 km walk to Benidorm. Even if you are on the near side of La Cala, the Poniente beach is 3km to the old town and a further stretch to get to all the UK pubs, clubs and cabaret bars. If you don’t mind paying 10/12 euro in a taxi to and you are looking for some peace and quite then La Cala is the place for you. There are some nice bars and restaurants and it is especially lovely in the evening having a meal in one of the restaurants right next to the waters edge.
